UK Based Ultra Runner of the Year Polls 2012

The 2012 UK Ultra Runners of the Year are now official. Full result listings are below. Votes have been placed by the Ultra Community via the poll page, email and facebook over the last 7weeks. Head over to http://www.facebook.com/ukUROC to view the discussion board page. For 2013 this will move to a stand alone website dedicated to highlighting the incredible performances that home based UK athletes continuously turn in week after week. More categories will be added to make sure the incredible stories and performances from the non-elite end of the field are recognised. The draw to win Compressport Gear for a lucky voter will take a place on the 25th November after CenturionRunning's Winter 100 race.

A special thanks goes out to all the sponsors that supported the event in its first year. Without the commitment from them, a legitimate poll could have been made. With them we have seen over 1000 unique votes- beyond expectations. Lets make this 2000 next year!

Centurion Running and Hardmoors110  have supported the polls by offering a free race places to the winners. The Female and Male winners in the UK Ultra Runner of the Year Categories will receive a free entry the cash prized Petzl SDW100 in 2013. The Female and Male winners of the Ultra Performance of the Year Category will receive a free entry into any one of the Hardmoors Race Series during 2013.

Mark Barnes at HFP Consultants has also offered Injinji Performance toe socks and Elete to all 4 categories. Mark has also been instrumental in securing Compressport as a sponsor who are providing 4 (1 for each category winner) of their patented and unique FORQUAD Guards.
